We run a children’s outreach program in Urur Olcott Kuppam in partnership with Pudiyador, a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged sections of Indian society (www.pudiyador.org) through an arts education program that fosters intellectual, social, emotional, and cultural development. Sahrdaya founder member Manjari teaches dance weekly at Urur Olcott Kuppam Centre in Besant Nagar.
Sahrdaya members Sheejith Krishna, Manjari, Akhila Ramnarayan, and Jyothishmathi Sheejith have engaged in various workshops and initiatives--along with Sahrdaya faculty and Repertory performers--with schools such The School KFI, Navadisha Montessori School, Paathashaala, and Bhakti Natya Niketan in Chennai and Coimbatore to make the arts accessible to the children of those schools and to create meaningful dialogue about art.
